Quick Service Dining Options with Variety Around the “World”

We are asked regularly about quick service dining options at Walt Disney World Resort® that are different than the typical cheeseburger and fries options so many envision at theme parks.

I thought I would detail a few favorites. We have only highlighted them from the lunch meal perspective but most offer at least lunch and dinner menus. A tip for any of the quick service options, scan the lines and see which is shortest, typically it is the further left lines.

Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest is not only a great option but has the best ambiance of any quick service option. Please keep in mind, this venue serves breakfast and lunch as a quick service option and dinner is sit down. This is the only venue where you must pre-book these, even the quick service times.

The options here include Coq au Vin, Croque Monsieur, Tuna Nicoise salad, Quiche, French Dip sandwich, French Onion soup, Potato Leek soup, Carved Turkey sandwich, and Quinoa Salad.

Hollywood Studios

I like ABC Commissary as it has some variety in addition to an Angus cheeseburger and Chicken nuggets if your travel party wants that as an option as well. Sunset Blvd has some good options but it is typically packed as all traffic heading to Rockin Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror head down this way.

ABC Commissary is tucked away a bit and offers options like a Chicken and Ribs combination platter, Mediterranean salad with or without chicken, and a chicken club sandwich.

Epcot

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Although most countries have a quick service option, my favorite is in France. It is one of a few that are in air conditioning and covered for inclement weather. The variety is great! Brie Aux Pommes, Poulet au Pistou, Turkey BLT, Ham and cheese croissant, Blue salad, Nicoise. And the desserts! Eclairs, Crème Brule, Macaroons.

Animal Kingdom

Satu’li Canteen

The newest addition in Pandora, The World of Avatar is Satu’li Canteen. I found the food very good and right up my alley. All the bowls I have tried have been great. You can choose from chicken, beef, fish, and tofu. These all come with a vegetable slaw and I found them to be filling. I was not as pleased with the cheeseburger pods. The filling was good but the exterior was incredibly thick with dough and overshadowed the filling. Make sure to grab a Hawke’s Grog Ale if you like beer. Very refreshing on a hot day. This part of Animal Kingdom is a huge deal right now so it can be very crowded. Pack your patience and try eating on off peak times like 11 AM or 1:30 or 2. It really is different than anything else you will find in the parks.

Disney Springs

This is one of my favorite spots now in the Walt Disney Resort® So many dining and shopping options, all with entertainment sprinkled throughout so as you walk, you can bump into an electric orchestra, then a Spanish guitar player, string quartet, and on and on. Eating your way around the area is no problem but a few notable mentions for quick services dining are; D-Luxe Burger, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, Frontera Cocina, and The Polite Pig. They all have their own spin on food and it is all delicious!
