UPDATE: AUGUST 16, 2021 – The Disney Fantasy will resume sailing beginning Sept. 11, 2021.
Disney Cruise Line is making several changes to upcoming Disney Fantasy voyages, including the cancellation of one sailing and the modification of four itineraries.

The 7-night sailing on Sept. 4, 2021, will be canceled. The following Guest Recovery actions will be taken:
If paid in full, 125% Future Cruise Credit.
If not paid in full, full refund.

Additionally, Disney Cruise Line is converting four Disney Fantasy sailings from 7-night cruises to 4-night cruises for the following dates:

Our team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of our Guests and team members. We are carefully preparing for a return to service following the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As we continue to refine our protocols and await further technical guidance from the CDC, we are cancelling all sailings through April 2021 and select sailings onboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder in May.

Sailings are cancelled aboard the Disney Fantasy through April 24; the Disney Dream through April 30; the Disney Magic through May 6 and Disney Wonder through May 12.

Additionally, as previously shared, based on the conditional sail order provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Disney Cruise Line must cancel sailings longer than 7 nights.

We are offering affected Guests who have paid their reservation in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit* to be used for a future sailing prior to May 31, 2022, or a full refund.

UPDATE: JANUARY 22, 2021: Temporary final payment extension
Beginning, Jan. 22, 2021, a temporary final payment extension was added to Disney Cruise Line sailings through Aug. 31, 2021. In addition, we are temporarily relaxing our cruise cancellation fee schedule for sailings through Aug. 31, 2021.

UPDATE: JANUARY 12, 2021: Extension of Disney Cruise Line Cancellations. 

As we continue to refine our protocols for our eventual return to service, we have decided to cancel all sailings through March 2021.

UPDATE: DEC 16, 2020 –  Final payment extension & Cancellation Policy Update

Beginning, Dec. 16, 2020, a temporary final payment extension was added to Disney Cruise Line sailings through July 31, 2021. In addition, they are temporarily relaxing the cruise cancellation fee schedule for sailings through July 31, 2021. Finally, Disney Cruise Line has recently extended its temporary Cruise Date Flexibility option, allowing them the option to change their sail day up to 15 days prior to their cruise.

UPDATE: Dec. 11 – Disney Cruise Line Cancels Some Scheduled Sail Itineraries Longer than Seven Nights

Our team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of our guests and team members. Based on the conditional sail order provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Disney Cruise Line must cancel sailings longer than seven nights. This cancellation includes the 13-Night Transatlantic sailing onboard the Disney Magic on May 9, 2021, the 9-Night Alaska sailing onboard the Disney Wonder on June 28, 2021 and the 9-Night Southern Caribbean Sailing onboard the Disney Fantasy.

We are offering affected Guests that have paid their reservation in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit* to be used for a future sailing prior to May 31, 2022, or a full refund. The credit has automatically been added to your clients’ account, and can be applied as a payment option when booking a new reservation online. Guests that have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far. Affected Guests and travel professionals will receive an email from Disney Cruise Line outlining details and next steps.

Additionally, Guests booked on the June 28, 2021 9-night Alaska Disney Wonder sailing are eligible for a 10% discount** when booking the following 7-night replacement cruise.

Guests and Travel Agents with a new or existing reservation made by December 31, 2020, for a cruise occurring on or before May 31, 2021, will have the ability to change their sail date up to 15 days prior to embarkation with no sail date change fee applied. Previously, reservations had to be made before November 30, 2020, with a departure date on or before May 31, 2021.

The new Cruise Date Flexibility terms are as follows:

  • Offer is for new bookings made by December 31, 2020, and existing bookings (within departure date window)
  • Applicable to cruises departing through May 31, 2021
  • Guests can change their sail date up to 15 days prior to their cruise, for any cruise departing through May 31, 2022

As you may be aware, the Canadian government recently extended its decision to not allow cruise ships to dock in any Canadian port until October 31. As a result, Disney Cruise Line is reaching out to your Clients who were originally scheduled on a sailing of the Disney Wonder that was schedule to depart between Aug. 3 and Sept. 14, 2020, to notify them that these sailings have been cancelled.

In light of this cancellation, for your clients who are not paid in full, we will automatically refund any payment made toward the booking. This refund will be processed back to the original form of payment, but may be delayed due to the high volume.

For your clients who are paid in full, we are offering them the choice of a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing that commences prior to March 31, 2022, or a full refund. Disney Cruise Line is reaching out to your Clients who were originally booked on a departure through July 28, 2020, and who moved or cancelled their sail date due to concerns about COVID-19. Since then, with the wellbeing of our Guests and team members as our top priority and in line with direction from health experts and government officials, we have cancelled these sailings.


For your Clients who modified their reservation and were on a Disney Magic sailing between July 3-26

We would now like to offer your Clients an additional future cruise creditequal to 25% of their original voyage fare to use toward the reservation they modified. Once your Clients’ modified reservation is paid in full, any remaining future cruise credit will be applied to their shipboard account as a non-refundable onboard credit.

If your Clients’ circumstances have changed and they would now like to cancel the reservation they modified, they may do so for a full refund of the original voyage fare they paid.

Disney Cruise Line is automatically refunding any cancellation fees your Clients may have been charged. This refund will be processed back to the original form of payment, but may be delayed due to the high volume.

Commission on these reservations will be protected following our standard policy (50%, 75% or 100% of the voyage fare) and is based on when the booking cancelled. If the reservation is moved to a new sail date or hold date, commission is protected at 100%.

In light of this cancellation, Disney Cruise Line is offering your clients who have paid in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date, or a full refund. The credit has been automatically added to their account. You may place a reservation on hold for your clients by applying it as a payment option when booking a new reservation on the Disney Travel Agents website.

For clients who have not paid in full, Disney Cruise Line will be automatically refunding any payment made toward their booking. This refund will be processed back to the original form of payment, but may be delayed due to the high volume.

The cancellation of the two Disney Magic sailings and three Disney Wonder sailings include Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages booked in conjunction with these cruises. Please note that we will continue to protect travel professionals’ commission on the original sailing that is paid in full and cancelled by Disney Cruise Line. For reservations that were booked using a Future Cruise Credit from a sailing previously cancelled by Disney Cruise Line, commission on a second sailing will be earned only if the sailing commences and will not be earned if the sailing is cancelled by Disney Cruise Line. In this instance, commission will be paid following the standard commission payment process.

*Disney Magic Sailings: The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 125% of the original voyage fare plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan, if applicable. The FCC is only valid for sailings departing within 15 months of the original sailing. The original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the FCC. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value and may be divided across multiple sailings. Standard prevailing rates apply, and Guests are responsible for any balance due after the FCC has been applied. If Guests end up not being able to use the FCC, they will be eligible for a refund up to the amount of the original voyage fare plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan, if applicable. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received an FCC are not eligible for an additional FCC.

*Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy Sailings: The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 125% of your original voyage fare plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan, if applicable. The FCC is only valid for sailings departing within 15 months of your original sailing. Your original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the FCC. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. Standard prevailing rates apply and Guests are responsible for any balance due after the FCC has been applied.
