Out of an abundance of caution and to assist with our nation’s preventive efforts, Universal Resorts will temporarily close its theme parks. The closure is effective at the close of business on Sunday, March 15. They anticipate remaining closed at least through May 31st.

Hotel and Package Bookings
Universal Orlando & Universal Studios Hollywood vacation packages and Universal Orlando room reservations held for our closure period can be modified or cancelled with no penalty or fee. During our park closure period, cancellation fees will be waived for hotel and vacation package reservations cancelled prior to 24 hours of arrival. Universal Orlando Resort hotels remain open.

What if I make a booking while you are closed?
Ticket purchases, hotel reservations and packages purchased between March 4 and April 15 for travel through August 31 qualify for our Stress-Free booking policy, which means they may be modified or canceled with no fee at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

Universal Orlando:

Universal Orlando’s hotels and Universal CityWalk will remain open.

Park Tickets:
Universal Orlando Resort: Unexpired single-day tickets that have already been purchased will be valid on any day for 365 days from the purchase date. Unexpired multi-day tickets that have already been purchased will also be valid for first use on any day from 365 days from purchase – but, as always, must be used within seven days of first use. The 2020 Explorer ticket expiration date will change from 1/31/21 to 6/30/21. If you cannot travel during this time, you can apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward a new purchase.

UPDATE: March 25, 2020. The closure of Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will be extended through April 19. This includes theme parks, Universal CityWalk at both destinations and Blue Man Group Shows

Universal Hollywood:

Universal Studios Hollywood will temporarily close beginning Saturday, March 14. The theme park anticipates reopening on March 28 but will continue to monitor the situation.

Universal CityWalk will remain open. We will provide timely updates as conditions evolve.

Park Tickets:
Universal Studios Hollywood: Tickets purchased for park visits during the anticipated closure period, from March 14 through March 31, will be automatically extended for use through December 18, 2020. If you cannot visit during this time, you can apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward a new purchase.
