Picture this: four friends, one ambitious goal, and more churros than we probably should’ve attempted in a single day. Welcome to our Disney California Adventure Churro Crawl!
Churros have become one of the most iconic snacks at Disneyland Resort, evolving far beyond their classic cinnamon sugar roots. At Disney California Adventure Park, these beloved treats are reimagined with seasonal flavors, creative toppings, and visually striking presentations that make them as shareable as they are delicious.
We created this Churro Crawl to experience all the holiday flavors the various churro stands had to offer, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Now, there’s a good chance we missed some along the way, and there’s absolutely no rule saying you have to follow our exact path. But each churro we tried offered a unique flavor profile, and we had the absolute best time hunting down each stand and rating every single bite.
Fair warning: each churro is definitely sized for sharing (especially if you’re planning to try them all). Our group of four made sure everyone got at least two solid bites of each one because that’s what friendship is all about, right?
Since we were staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, we kicked off our crawl right there at the Grizzly Falls Churro Cart. From there, we made our way to Pixar Pier and continued counterclockwise through Cars Land, Avengers Campus, Hollywood Land, and wrapped up at Willie’s Churros in front of Starbucks.
Ready to join us? Let’s dig in.
Fluffernutter Churro
Location: Grizzly Falls Churro Cart near Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Flavor Profile: Topped with chocolate, marshmallow, and peanut butter, this churro delivers a rich, nostalgic flavor best enjoyed shared.
This churro kicked off our crawl in true comfort-food fashion. Drizzled with chocolate, marshmallow, and peanut butter, the Fluffernutter Churro instantly brought on those nostalgic, sweet-treat vibes. It’s rich, indulgent, and definitely one that’s best enjoyed with a group—trust us on that.
Our group gave this one an overall 6/10, but don’t let that number scare you off. It leaned very sweet, and in hindsight, we absolutely should have grabbed coffee first. We also had one brave soul in our group who does not like peanut butter at all (a bold choice on a churro crawl), which definitely pulled the average down.
That said, if you’re someone who loves a classic peanut butter and chocolate combo—especially one that favors peanut butter just a bit more—this churro might be calling your name. You know exactly who you are.

Fresas con Crema Churro
Location: Señor Buzz Churros across from Toy Story Midway Mania on Pixar Pier
Flavor Profile: Fresh strawberries and condensed milk create a creamy, fruity finish that remains light and refreshing.
This churro felt earned after conquering Toy Story Midway Mania. And if you want to make things even more fun, we highly recommend adding a little competitive twist— loser buys the churro. Instant motivation.
This one was super refreshing, especially after all the spinning, aiming, and celebrating (or trash-talking). That said, it was a little tricky to eat on the go. We definitely could’ve used a utensil or two, because things got a bit messy—in the best Disney way.
Our group landed on a 7/10 for this churro. Once again, we had someone in the group who wasn’t a fan of fresh fruit and would rather the fruit be dressed in a sweeter, more dessert-like form, which slightly affected the score. The sweetened condensed milk makes the churro softer and a little soggy—not in a bad way—but it doesn’t have that crunchy outer shell some of the other churros on our crawl did.
All that said, there were absolutely no regrets with this stop. It’s a great option when you’re on Pixar Pier, especially in the afternoon when that area tends to heat up a bit. If you’re craving something lighter and refreshing between rides, this one hits the spot.
Apple Pie Churro
Location: Cozy Cone Motel – Cone 1 in Cars Land
Flavor Profile: Warm apple filling and cinnamon sugar offer comforting flavors that appeal to guests of all ages.
Nothing says American holidays like a warm apple pie! This churro takes you straight to the Thanksgiving table, and the only thing missing was the ice cream! This was the group’s favorite churro, earning a 9/10.
I would suggest mobile ordering because the Cozy Cone area can get congested and confusing. We ate ours in Red’s Community Garden near Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, and it was the perfect little spot to soak in the Cars Land vibes while enjoying every last bite.
If you’re looking for a quick tip and want to mix up the crawl (or you just need two apple pie churros in one day… not admitting we did that, but… we’ll let you draw your own conclusions), head to the Cozy Cone near closing time and grab the churro, then hop in the Radiator Springs Racers line. It’s typically shorter at night, and it’s always cooler! Plus, they should let you eat it in line. Just make sure you finish before you get to the front.

Strawberry Basil Churro
Location: Terran Treats across from Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
Flavor Profile: A bright strawberry topping, balanced with a subtle basil finish, offers a refreshing, unexpected twist.
We’re huge fans of The Great British Bake Off, so ordering the Strawberry and Baa-sil churro added an extra layer of fun right from the start. (If you know, you know.)
We enjoyed this one right after lunch at one of our favorite counter-service spots in Disney California Adventure: Pym Test Kitchen. You truly can’t go wrong there, and the fact that you can mobile order is a major bonus. A little post-lunch dessert after our taco salad and pretzel just felt right.
This churro was incredibly refreshing with a surprisingly unique flavor profile. Who would’ve thought to pair fruit and herbs like this? And remember, we have someone in our group who doesn’t usually love fruit. Even so, this churro still earned an 8/10 from the group.
The flavors were well-balanced, not overpowering, and exactly what we needed after lunch in the sun. Light, different, and a total win. If you’re looking for an added twist, hit up Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! for a unique drop tower filled with funny scenes and iconic tunes. Just maybe give yourself some time to digest before you go dropping from the sky. Trust us on that one.
Cannoli Churro
Location: Hollywood Land Churro Cart near Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue
Flavor Profile: Cannoli-style ricotta topping with chocolate chips and pastry accents for a balanced dessert.
This churro was a delicious surprise, instantly transporting us to Boston. With its cannoli-inspired ricotta topping, chocolate chips, and flaky pastry accents, it brought a classic Italian dessert twist to the churro crawl—Nonna-approved, for sure.
This turned out to be the least sweet churro we tried all day, which made it stand out in the best way. Our group rated it a 9/10, thanks to the smooth, creamy ricotta and the light, flaky pastry pieces sprinkled on top. It felt balanced, indulgent, and not overly rich—perfect for pacing ourselves on a crawl like this.
Right after finishing, we hopped on Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! for a little air conditioning and a chance to digest before heading to our next stop. Honestly, it was the perfect pairing: a great ride, a cool break, and a truly memorable churro.

Carrot Cake Churro
Location: Willie’s Churros near Starbucks at Disney California Adventure
Flavor Profile: Cake crumbles and a cream cheese glaze bring the familiar flavors of carrot cake to a handheld treat.
Luckily, this one is right next to Starbucks, which felt like destiny. This was our final stop before heading over to Disneyland Park for our very last churro, and honestly, the timing could not have been better.
We’re pretty sure this counts as a full serving of vegetables—because Disney vegetables are built differently (disclaimer: we are not doctors, so maybe take that advice with a grain of salt). Our group loves carrot cake, and this churro absolutely delivered.
We gave this one a solid 8/10. It was rich, flavorful, and a little messy—in the best way. Hand wipes were definitely needed afterward, but totally worth it. The carrot cake crumbles sprinkled over the cream cheese icing were truly a chef’s kiss.
And really, who says you can’t have your coffee and cake and eat it too… or however that saying goes?

The Sweet Conclusion
So, would we do it all over again? Absolutely. While our churro ratings ranged from 6/10 to 9/10, the experience itself? A solid 10/10. There’s something special about wandering through the parks with your favorite people, hunting down sweet treats, and making memories one bite at a time.
To fully enjoy the churro crawl, we highly recommend sharing each churro among three to four guests. Trust us, your taste buds (and your stomach) will thank you. Just keep in mind that churro offerings rotate frequently, so availability may vary by season and location. Part of the fun is seeing what new flavors pop up!
